2023 Annual Review

As we reflect on the past year, I am pleased to share with you the New Brunswick Ground Search and Rescue Association’s (NBGSARA) Annual Report. This report highlights our dedicated volunteers’ tireless efforts, the significant impact of our search and rescue operations, and the essential role we play in ensuring the safety and well-being of our community.

In 2023, our 300 professional volunteers contributed over 47,000 hours to search and rescue incidents, training, prevention, and preparedness. This invaluable service not only saves lives but also offers a considerable cost saving to the province. By leveraging our volunteers’ dedication and expertise, we provide a critical service that would otherwise require substantial investment in full-time staff and resources.

I invite you to read the full report to learn more about our achievements, the challenges we face, and the strategic priorities we have set for the future. Your support and collaboration are crucial as we continue to enhance our capabilities and ensure that NBGSARA remains a cornerstone of public safety in New Brunswick.
