If you or someone you know is lost or in need of emergency assistance, dial 9-1-1 immediately.

Emergency services are equipped to handle a wide range of situations and can dispatch appropriate resources to assist you promptly.

Delaying your 911 call can reduce the chance of a successful outcome in a SAR mission. NBGSARA does not charge subjects for rescue.

Activation of NBGSARA Teams

It’s important to note that NBGSARA (New Brunswick Ground Search and Rescue Association) teams do not self-activate for missing person incidents. Instead, our teams are activated only when requested by the police force having jurisdiction, which could be the RCMP or your local municipal police. They have the authority and expertise to evaluate the situation and deploy search and rescue resources when needed.

Working Together for Safety

By working in coordination with law enforcement agencies, NBGSARA teams ensure a structured and efficient response to emergency situations. This collaborative approach maximizes the effectiveness of search and rescue efforts and enhances the safety of those in need.
